Michael Vince is a composer, performer, and eclectic arts enthusiast. He has sung with several ensembles, such as the Litha Orchestra Chorus, the New York Festival Singers, and the Windy City Gay Chorus. He also utilized his musical theatre background as a singer in Cranky Cabaret in New York City. Michael made his Carnegie Hall debut as a chorus member for DCINY’s Messiah Refreshed! concert in 2017.
As a pianist, Michael has accompanied several performance groups, including the sketch team Boomerang Tango, the Starland Creative Center’s Once Upon A Mattress production in 2009, and the Skokie Park District’s Little Shop Horrors production in 2010. He also made use of his improvisation skills as the pianist for Thirsty!, an improvised comedy series in Chicago.
Michael is currently working towards a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in composition at The University of Arizona. He earned his Master of Music degree in composition from New York University in 2015. Michael previously acquired his Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance in 2008 at The University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio.
