Elizabeth started her musical training at age 5 in the Texas Panhandle. She received numerous awards in her younger years, earning gold medals in Piano Competitions in her adolescence and going on to earn two ratings of Superior and gold medals at the Texas UIL State Competition in Piano and Percussion.
Elizabeth went on to study Music Education and Piano Pedagogy at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. She decided to do a dual emphasis in Piano and Percussion, giving four recitals in her Junior and Senior years at Howard Payne. During her undergraduate studies, Elizabeth taught in the Pre-College Music program at Howard Payne and coached her students to earn Superior ratings and gold medals in Regional and State Championships in Piano and Percussion. She also taught her students towards earning Superior and Excellent ratings in Theory Tests and Competitions.
In addition to teaching piano and percussion in Howard Payne’s Pre-College Music Program, Elizabeth worked as a Percussion Tech and Intern at ten different High Schools in the Central Texas areas. She also competed in Winter Guard International in Indoor Percussion with Violet Crown Independent for two seasons as a front ensemble percussionist. After Clinical Teaching at Bangs and Early ISD, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Howard Payne University in December 2020.
