Meet Piano Teacher, Katie and Violin Teacher, Jennalyn!
Katie began her musical journey at age 12, with lessons in jazz, rhythm, and blues. Katie was just 15 when she began attending college to pursue a degree in music, with a focus in piano. She has taught for over 5 years since, and is greatly experienced with all students ranging from pre-k into high school, with experience in special needs music education.
Her passion lies within helping her students find (and pursue) their love for music and the arts. Katie teaches a variety of piano and music skills to assist you in reaching your personal goals as a musician, with the belief that everybody can find a sense of belonging in her classroom.
Jennalyn has harbored a love of the violin all her life. She holds a Bachelor’s of Music in Music Education from The University of Arizona, and has a wide array of experience teaching music, especially to students ages 5-18 in her work with Through the Staff and the University of Arizona String Project. In her work with Through the Staff, Jennalyn excelled at connecting students with virtual resources to utilize in their music journey. Jennalyn’s work with the University of Arizona String Project included everything from designing and teaching a comprehensive orchestral curriculum to an ensemble of 15 students from grades 5-9, to the more personalized care and instruction of her students in violin playing while promoting music appreciation and fostering a lifelong love of music.
Jennalyn has traveled all over the world, but has settled here in Tucson to share her love of violin with the Tucson community and Allegro School of Music students.

Freyja is the Pet of the Month!
Your Name
Matilda Knotts
Tell us about your pet and why he or she should be the pet of the month!
Freyja should be pet of the month because she loves to sit and watch me play drums. She loves to be active and do stuff with me! She also doesn’t mind being calm and letting me do HW. She’s very curious and loves to sniff around and will find very warm and cozy spots to lie in even if she’s not supposed to be there. She loves chasing after a ball and will walk around parks! Her favorite song is Boulevard of Broken Dreams!
Congratulations!
We are making a $100.00 donation to Barb’s Dog Rescue and sending you a $25.00 Petco card!
We are an Official Family Safety Plan Music and Dance School!
Glass Windows
While it is expected that older kids and teenagers will not want their parents to sit in on every music lesson, some parents may not feel comfortable with having their child in a separate room for a half-hour. To appease both students who wish for their lessons to be private and parents concerned about safety, we have installed windows on every single door so that parents can view their student’s lesson with peace of mind.
Office Staff
At our music academy, we require office staff to be present during lessons. Many other music academies have tight budgets and cannot afford the extra expense of employing office staff. In our opinion, this is not a safe practice and is irresponsible on the part of the academy. Our academy always has office staff present so that students are never left alone with teachers.
Background Checks
We require that teachers and staff members undergo extensive background checks. Our teachers are required to pass four tests: a National Offender Search, Statewide Criminal Background Check, National Criminal Background Check, and Social Security Number Verification. We view this as a necessary measure to preserve the safety and integrity of our academy.
Security Cameras
The safety of our students is our top priority, so we have security cameras in every single room. The precautionary program may be costly to the academy, but such a feature is worth it if it keeps our students safe and gives the parents peace of mind.
Open-Door Policy
Our school has an open-door policy for parents, which means that they’re invited to sit in on their child’s lessons. This should be something you look for when selecting an appropriate music school for your family.

Thank you for the 5 Star Reviews

I have three kids attending Allegro and they love it!! One of my kids started taking drum lessons with Greg. It’s literally the highlight of his weekend. He’s enjoyed his lessons so much he decided to start learning a second instrument. He and his older brother now take piano with Becky. They always leave so happy and excited about learning their new skills. My oldest son takes guitar while his two brothers work on piano. He’s always “hyped” when he gets to work on learning his guitar with Sam. This school has been so welcoming and encouraging to our family as my kids learn and explore music. Cannot recommend enough!
Review your teacher on Google and we will give them a $5 Starbucks Card! Be sure to mention your teacher’s name!
