Piano lessons! I occasionally sub in for percussion too!
What’s your favorite part about teaching at Allegro?
I absolutely love the culture of student centered achievement here. The staff and teachers are all focused on giving the students and their families the best learning experience possible. I love being part of a team that works so hard to help students achieve consistent success and help move them forward on their musical journey.
How do you help your students reach their musical goals?
I focus on where the student currently is in their musical journey and try to help them take the next step forward, whether that’s practicing for their next performance or breaking down music theory fundamentals in a new piece. I try to give every student specific, measurable, and attainable goals each week and reward them for their efforts and successes. I believe that learning should be student centered and most of all, engaging and FUN. I also believe that students learn best in comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, so I’m committed to meeting students where they are and making sure they know I’m on their team cheering them on each and every lesson. Whether it is mastering an exercise or performing a classical masterpiece, I love celebrating my student’s successes with them and encouraging them along in their progress each week.
What are some of the cool musical pieces that your students are working on for the next Allegro Recital?
I have students working very hard on a variety of pieces, from We Are the Champions by Queen to classical pieces from Chopin and Debussy! I love when students take a piece, make it their own and perform it for their family and friends.

I am passionate about music education and I truly believe that learning music is one of the best gifts in life. I believe in building relationships with my students built on trust, achievement and a knowledge that I’m their biggest cheerleader and am here to serve my students in a way that best fits their individual needs.

My daughter is so happy with her lessons. Her teacher Michael is the sweetest and honestly we’re lucky to have got him as her teacher , his way of teaching has my daughter show more interest.
