Classical Guitar is a unique genre of guitar. It’s one of the few guitar styles that has a heavy emphasis on note reading. It’s also unique in terms of the techniques required. Students learn how to play multiple parts/voices at the same time, and there’s a specialized system for learning the complexities of the right hand.
Although most guitar students from Tucson come to Allegro interested in learning Rock or Pop guitar, many are eventually drawn to classical guitar because of how great it sounds!
We have multiple instructors with advanced University degrees in Classical Guitar Performance who can teach you to pleay classical guitar. We offer lessons to students as young as five, and we’ve had former classical guitar students win prizes in international guitar competitions. Our teachers use proven methods such as Aaron Shearer: Learning the Classic Guitar Series, Carcassi Studies, Sor Studies, Brouwer Studies, etc.
