Shawn Kebler is the Teacher of the Year!
Shawn’s 5 Steps to Success
1. Learn their interests
Learn about the students interests outside of music. This help’s to bring relevant content to the lesson and makes for a more personalized and enjoyable experience for the student.
2. Communication
Listen to your students, try to ask them questions regularly and let them teach you. This keeps the student engaged.
3. Technology
I Like to set goals for my students and track their progress using technology. By simply letting them know that we can produce a professional quality audio recording in our lesson will help to motivate them and also make it easier for them to share their music with friends and family.
4. Quality not quantity
Don’t overload the students with stacks of lesson materials. Come up with a specific goal and
develop a few quality lessons and exercises to help them succeed.
5. Talk to the parents
Keeping parents in the loop is always a good idea. Try to find a minute at the end of the lesson to explain what we worked on and show them the lesson plan.
New Students
We extend a warm welcome to the students who signed up for lessons last month!

“My son was really excited after his first lesson. It been six month’s now since we started, and he is just as excited today as he was the first day. His instructors make learning fun, and they keep him challenged. He keeps getting better and better, and he feels great about the work he has done. Great job Allegro!!”

Meet our 600th Student!
In January, we enrolled our 600th student, Nic G.
CONGRATULATIONS NIC, YOU’VE WON SIX MONTHS OF FREE LESSONS!
Nic is taking piano lessons with David DeSoucey. His enrollment marks another milestone for the school as we now have our largest-ever active enrollment of over 600 students.
Allegro School of Music started as a very small studio and has become the largest private music school in Southern Arizona!
This has been a long time in the making and we wanted to take this opportunity to thank YOU, our students and families for making Allegro School of Music Tucson’s Number One Choice for Music lessons!
THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING ALLEGRO SCHOOL OF MUSIC!
Celebrating Student Achievement • The Musical Ladder System®
Allegro School of Music is the only music school in Southern Arizona that gives students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests with the Musical Ladder System®. Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full color, really cool “Musical Ladder System®” wristbands that they can show off to their friends.
More importantly when our students have a test coming up, they practice more, their parents are proud, their teachers are proud, and everybody wins!
