What are your short and long term goals with music?
Short Term: Master all the lead fingering guitar styles. Long term: play in a full fledged rock band.
What is favorite part about taking music lessons?
My teacher Shawn is my favorite part about taking music lessons. He is a genius and his charm makes every class a blessing.
What are your hobbies?
Apart from music, I do magic tricks, I play badminton, I do slapstick theater, martial arts and I also play the violin.
What are some of your favorite foods?
I eat anything that doesn’t eat me back :-). Specifically I love Korean
What is the coolest thing you’ve learned in your lessons recently?
That I can jump from one fingering position to another while sliding and hammering.
Do you have any performances coming up?
I play at a church choir every Sunday. Apart from that I have a show coming up in Phoenix at the end of summer. Plus I am looking forward to my first recital

Even though I started learning lead guitar only 3 months ago, I have been playing rhythm guitar and violin for around 20 years now. Also I grew up in India and used to be part of a band there. I came to the U.S around 6 years ago for grad school . I am doing my PhD now in Computer Science with focus on Artificial Intelligence. Also I am a registered magician with Society of American Magicians. So if you want to vanish someone you know whom to go to next 😉

★★★★★ My daughter has passed in piano lessons for over for years with a private instructor. While the lessons have been instrumental to her, the lessons became stale and much like a chore rather than the fun hobby she was once interested in. After careful consideration of many options, Allegro School of Music is hands down the best for my daughter. She has excelled in ways I didn’t know was possible! We were paired with the perfect instructor that is brilliant, he inquires of my daughters needs and goals and completely works towards her interest- a complete change from what she was use to. It’s been a blessing to see my daughter want to practice and have a list of items that she wants to learn about. The instructor truly does make a difference. Thank you Neal!! Some feedback from my daughter ‘very kind instructors, it’s always nice that family can sit in on the lesson, and if you can’t make it to a lesson, make-up sessions are available’. If you’re unsure of where to take lessons, you’ve got to give Allegro a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Tell us about your pet!
Kendal is 9 years old and my very first dog. He is a Boxer/Shepard mix, is very loyal and protective of me and my family. Sophie is my mom’s dog. She is a pure bred Shih Tzu, is 1 year old and has lots of energy. We all spend a lot of time playing outside and running around.
