Maya’s upcoming performance!
Maya has been studying voice and ukulele with her teacher Neal for two years. Her favorite musicians are Lin-Manuel Miranda and Leslie Odom Jr. She plans to continue to pursuing her goals of singing musical theater, becoming more fluent at the ukulele, and to learn piano. When she’s not practicing music, Maya likes to create art and to write and to play with her dog, Luna. Some of her favorite foods are: ice cream, corned beef and cabbage and avocado toast. Maya’s favorite part about coming to lessons at Allegro is learning new music and learning how to progress quickly. She says her teacher Neal is very supportive of her goals and helps her prepare for auditions.

I participate in CYT Tucson, which is a local theater group that produces Broadway-style productions with youth ages 8 to 18. I was recently cast as Jojo in CYT’s upcoming production of Seussical the Musical at the Pima Community College Center for the Arts (West Campus). My cast is performing on Saturday, May 18th at 7:00 pm and Sunday, May 19th at 2:00 pm. Tickets are available at www.cyttucson.org.
