Daniel Karger-Peñalosa is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a BM in Piano Performance Throughout his undergraduate career, he has studied piano with Professor Tannis Gibson, Dr. Alexander Tentser, Dr. Rex Woods, and Dr. Nino Bakradze. An active musician, Daniel has performed in town and abroad, having performed at the Benderly-Kendall Opera House in Patagonia as part of the UA Musicians on Tour, and has also been a three-time finalist in the Michael Moore Piano Competition hosted by the UA Fred Fox School of Music. Aside from performing, he also has a passion for teaching, emphasizing on his students’ interests and goals with music. Aside from classical music, he also teaches jazz and modern genres (rock, pop, etc). Outside of music, Daniel has a passion for learning languages, having completed a minor in Japanese during his undergraduate studies.
