Lloyd Verbois graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Theory and still resides in Tucson, Arizona. He has been playing guitar for over 20 years and has performed as a classical guitarist in duos, trios, quartets, and various metal bands as a lead guitarist for over a decade. Lloyd has been teaching for over 10 years on the guitar, bass, and ukulele in the styles of classical, blues, rock, metal, bluegrass, reggae, and country. He caters to the student’s musical goals while providing a well-rounded musical education. Specializing in technique, music theory, and music composition he believes this will bridge the gap between all the musical genres. Whether it is playing fast or soulful melodies or anything in between, understanding and practicing techniques properly will unlock the style or songs the student wants to achieve. He also looks to explore Music Theory with the student to further their comprehension from basic musical education through advance theory. His favorite musicians are Chris Storey, Jason Richardson, Lucas Mann, Rusty Cooley, Jimi Hendrix, Chris Stapleton, David Gilmore, Bjorn Gelotte, and Charlie Parker. Lloyd loves playing because he understands music is a gift and would love to share the incredible benefits that learning music provides, and how it spreads to other aspects of our daily lives. Music enriches and connects people together in profound ways that anyone can experience at any point of their life. He loves to teach because it furthers his understanding of music and how each individual thinks and feels about music. When he isn’t playing music, you’ll find him spending time with friends and family, fishing, scuba diving, watching movies and playing video games. No matter where you are in your progression, Lloyd would love to create a path for you to achieve your musical goals.
