Molly, Voice/Piano
Molly Johnson has taught voice, piano, guitar, ukulele, flute, and recorder to hundreds of students ages 4 – 60 years old. She teaches all levels, but absolutely loves helping beginners start their musical journey with a solid foundation. Her teaching demeanor is kind and firm. Molly believes in her students singing/playing in the genres and styles that they love. She carefully tailors lessons to cultivate technique, theory, rhythm, tonality, and creativity, while also setting you up for success with your individual music goals.
Molly graduated from the Hartt School of Music of the University of Hartford with a BM in Music Education with Vocal Emphasis and a minor in Drama in 2018. She taught chorus, band, and general music in San Francisco public schools and private lessons at ViBO Music School, Stafford Music Academy, Melody Music Shop, and her private studio. She moved to Tucson from Berkeley, California in June of 2018. She has a women’s doo-wop barbershop quartet called the Chordesans. Molly is a member of the local alumni chapter of the women’s music fraternity Sigma Alpha Iota. Her favorite music quote is, “For heights or depths no words can reach, music is the soul’s own speech.
