Nico, Piano
Nico Catenazzo started his musical career on a humble Casio keyboard which used to collect dust, but not since he got his hands on it. With his feet barely reaching the ground he learned a song from his mother and his interest took off from there. Along side taking private lessons, he also got involved in music by joining school bands and learning from his idols off of his favorite CDs. Eventually he formed a band with his colleagues and acquired a taste for performing live. After community college he pursued a career in Music Education for one semester only to change his major to then go on and receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Performance. During his time at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville he was a part of many musical projects. These included a jazz trio, and his original rock band which both performed frequently at local venues. He then took part in a pop cover band, a celtic accoustic band, and much more. Nico has been teaching music since the age of sixteen giving private lessons to family friends which eventually helped him transition to teaching professionally. In his free time Nico records music, writes with other musicians, and builds guitars.
