Dan, Voice
Dan Marino, tenor, finished his bachelors degree in vocal performance at The University of Arizona in December 2018. An all-state-jazz vocalist from Illinois, Mr. Marino has performed with many collections over the years; ensembles including the Canterbury Singers from Illinois, The Tucson Symphony Orchestra (TSO) Choir, and with members of the critically acclaimed group True Concord. Mr. Marino has taught private lessons to middle school, high school, and adult students from the Phoenix/Goodyear area since 2015. With his 6 years of collegiate voice and 6 semesters of piano, he has focused on teaching proper singing technique and beginners piano to all ages and aspirations. More than half of Dan’s private students attended school in the Avondale school district; In August 2017, he held an “end of the summer” recital at the Desert Edge Auditorium where his top 10 students performed 2-3 pieces in front of family, friends, and colleagues. The TSO’s performance of Leonard Bernstein’s one-act opera, Trouble in Tahiti, was Mr. Marino’s professional debut as the lead tenor in the Trio. During his time at the University of Arizona, he performed lead roles in Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld and Poulenc’s Dialogue of the Carmelites.
