Wes McCanse is a Tucson native. He lives here with his wife and two children. Wes played in Jazz Band throughout high school and studied Music Production and Engineering at Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has been writing, recording, and performing with various Pop, Rock, and Electronic bands over the last 20 years. As a hobby he enjoys studying tube guitar amplifier circuits and building (and playing!) replicas of the classics. As an instructor, he recognizes creativity at all ability levels and believes that learning to put that creativity to use is a valuable life skill. He strives to help students incorporate music theory and technique into their “creative toolbox,” and elevates music as a source of confidence and self esteem.
